This app is based by the MandelZoom app developed by Jim Bumgardner.  The original MandelZoom app is described in the blog post titled "Virgin Territory" found at http://www.krazydad.com/blog/2006/06/02/zooming-mandelbrot/.  The original source code of the MandelZoom app can be downloaded at that web site.

I have made several improvements to the MandelZoom app.

* The app now runs on both GNU/Linux and Windows.
* The source code has been updated to use Modern C++.
* Several bugs have been fixed.
* The text displayed by ShowStats is more legible.
